"I think the secret to anyone's energy is doing what you love - something you lose yourself in." Either in his studio or plein air painting in a variety of locations, David Nance creates landscapes and still-life paintings with expressive brushstrokes and layers of color. You can see the development in the painting, giving weight to color interaction, pattern and movement. David is a native of North Carolina and now resides in Graham, where he and his wife paint full time. His interest in art began as a child and has continued with many contemporary masters, he was formally educated at North Carolina State University’s School of Design. His paintings have been represented in many juried shows and select exhibitions, attaining best of show and awards of excellence. Many of his paintings are among private and corporate collections. "I paint for the love of painting and when others respond to my work I have shared this compassion."
